Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, a brand within the Accor Hotels Group, has raised its first flag in the Maldives in 2018, opening
the doors of Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru. The resort, which is just 45 minutes by sea plane from the capital, Malé, features
105 villas and suites comprising 72 overwater pool villas, 30 beach pool suites and three beach spa pool residences, each with
their own private plunge pool - perfect for adventure-seeking families with kids and honeymooners looking for a romantic
getaway.
The Kuredhivaru island offers a slice of paradise with the perfect sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters and untouched natural
beauty. Facing out to the ocean, each room is a haven of comfort featuring arched ceilings, wide bathrooms, cosy verandas and
modern furnishings.
ONU Marché Restaurant is the main restaurant where the buffet and à la carte dishes are served. You will have a variety of deli-
cious tastes according to the theme of the night, with an abundance of fresh and tasty seafood. The Bodumas Japanese Seafood
Restaurant on the other hand, serves a vast selection of fresh catches harmonized with Japanese and local delicacies. Don’t miss
out the Crispy Spicy Tuna Roll if you are a sushi-lover! Latitude 5.5 is the international pool-side restaurant with a full-service
sunset bar, serving light lunches, succulent dinners, refreshing drinks and shisha around the poolside. Yet the signature offering
that conquers all hearts is the Mövenpick Chocolate Hour. The early evening complimentary chocolate dream takes the visitors
to Willy Wonka’s factory with a selection of chocolates, macarons, pralines and of course the legendary Mövenpick ice cream.
Another stand out feature is the Mövenpick Little Birds Club, offering a range of signature activities for all the family, as well as
babysitting services, marking the resort as a highly family friendly one. The kids will have the best time exploring the island and
having various activities with their fellow birds while the parents enjoy the serenity of the property!
As the first Mövenpick property in the Maldives, the design and operation is undertaken with a clear focus and long term com-
mitment to preserve the untouched Noonu Atoll. The hotel continues to take various measures to monitor and reduce its carbon
footprint and its impact on the environment and communities.
