Vincent Leroy is a French artist based in Paris. He is known for his nature-inspired abstract sculptures exploring the phenomena of perception. His work creates magic in the moment while slowing down the time and constantly changing the perspective.
Born in Normandy, he grew up in a rural environment where, at an early age, he developed a taste for building with the little things of everyday life and experimenting. After a technical training, he moved to Paris to study industrial design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle. During his studies, he began to produce his first kinetic works which were immediately spotted and exhibited in various Parisian galleries & museums. After obtaining his diploma, he collaborated as a designer with various architects and companies and at the same time created his artistic studio in Paris.
Whether it is kinetic sculptures, immersive installations or monumental works, movement is most of the time the raw material of Vincent Leroy's work. He constantly refers to life, amazement and permanent change of point of view. A movement that the artist likes to slow down to reveal fluidity, flexibility, reveal and magnify interstices that often escape us in our frenetic race for life. Taking his time, he breaks down each gesture to make us realize the simple movements. Vincent Leroy's works take their impetus smoothly, to a natural rhythm of a harmony specific to each of them.
Through a subtle mix of poetry and technology, the artist plays with our perceptions and detaches us from reality. Ripples, reflections, deformations, superimpositions, lights games and transparencies plunge the visitor into another dimension, light and airy, dreamlike and contemplative.
Vincent Leroy has exhibited his works all over the world such as Paris, Venice, Iceland, Tokyo, Spainand collaborated with many prestigious brands. His installations are an opportunity to test visual experiences, but above all bodily and emotional ones.
