A Journey to the Fractal World
Contemporary VR (Virtual Reality) artist
artist Ozan Türkkan’s new installation, Substance,
presents the viewer a kingdom of fractal images.
Known for his penchant for transporting audiences to astral journeys through his works, Türkkan’s most recent VR induced pieces are no exception. Focusing on geometry, algorythms found in nature and their echoes on the human consciousness, the artist’s installation aims to represent the immersive facet of media. ‘Substance’ takes the spectator to a different realm from the moment they set foot in the venue. It blurs the lines between reality and fantasy and allows them to confront their innermost selves. The theory of infinite universes and infinite possibilities are manifested at the core of the exhibition.
Ozan Türkkan’s new installation can be viewed at the Hetretopya exhibit which is hosted at the REM Art Space until May 31st.
